Club Founded
Eiker Sjakklubb is founded in Hokksund, bringing together the region’s first generation of chess players.
The Early Days of Eiker Sjakklubb
Roar Jelstad’s dedication to youth chess helped shape an entire generation of players, laying much of the foundation for the club’s proud traditions.
Norwegian Primary School Championship
Eiker Sjakklubb represented the club proudly at the Norwegian Primary School Championship in Bergen, travelling by train for an unforgettable weekend away.
County Championship for 10-Year-Olds
Øystein Brekke became County Champion, with Knut Morten Hølen taking silver — a result that highlighted the strength of Eiker’s youth programme.
